Chungkong is a Netherlands based designer who created hundreds of minimal pieces of work. In one of his many series he has taken an exciting theme of superheroes and combined it will a dull one, of different pantones. He has given each superhero a pantone relating to its colour theme and superhero name. To a superhero fan the name and theme of the pantone are pretty self explanatory. The audience for Chungkongs series is comic book fans or fans of the superhero movies. Perhaps people interested in pantone colours would find his work appealing to, since it puts a twist on what they would normally see. The work is simple yet extremely bold, eye-catching and modernistic. I like how the designer has simplified the detailed superheroes to a white silhouette, which makes them more more vibrant on the colourful backgrounds. The text and layout used is simple and to the point too, which makes the overall design more realistic and professional. I quite like chungkongs work. I thoroughly appreciate minimalist designs, despite my love for detailed graphic design more so and chungkongs work is a diverse spin to minimal designs.
